Business Travel View - Rome, Italy

Rome, the capital city of Italy is widely regarded as a major tourist destination. This Eternal City, which appears to be timeless, has been in existence for over three thousand years and is characterized with streets that are littered with ruins of its rich cultural past. These ruins date back to the Imperial times when Rome was the seat of power for the mighty Roman Empire that ruled over Europe, North Africa and the Middle East for over 400 years from the 1st century BC to the 4th century AD. Today, these ruins like the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and the Pantheon are Rome's prime historical attractions which draw thousands of tourists from all over the world.

The Vatican City, an independent city state which is the home of the Roman Catholic Church also lies within Rome's borders and contributes to its importance on the world stage. However apart from functioning as an important tourist destination, Rome which is one of Italy's fastest growing cities is also one of its most important centers for business.

The thriving economy of Rome is not solely dependent on tourism, for the economy of the city is also based on a strong services industry as it is home to several high-tech companies that specialize in IT, aerospace, defense and telecommunications. Additionally with the opening of the futuristic Fiera Roma trade fair grounds in 2006, the city has also become an important locale for global and European congresses, meetings and trade fairs.

Rome also functions as the epicenter of the Italian film industry and it is home to the famous Cinecittà studios, which have been in business since the 1930's. The International Rome Film Festival which debuted recently in 2007 has now become an important member of the international film festival circuit. All these factors have contributed to the growth of Rome as a well known and popular business travel destination.

In order to cater to the growing influx of business travelers the city is well served by the Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) Airport which is the largest airport in Italy. Moreover Rome is also equipped with several fine hotels like the Hassler Villa Medici which is located at the top of the prime tourist attraction of the Spanish Steps and the distinctly old-world St Regis Grand Hotel which is located near the American Embassy. Rome is also world famous for its indigenous Roman cuisine and accordingly boasts of a plethora of fine dining restaurants like La Pergola which is a Michelin three star restaurant that is touted to be the 'best restaurant' in Italy, Mirabelle, which is another Michelin star restaurant that is located at the Splendid Royale Hotel and the Al Foro restaurant which is located near the historic Trevi fountain and is a popular haunt of the international film fraternity

Rome Travel Tips

All roads lead to Rome, or so the saying goes. So if you like to travel, why do not roam the streets in Rome to see what it has to offer.

My first visit to Rome was in his youth, when I went there with my parents and my best friend at school. My parents were not particularly religious, although I have baptized more than 11 months and 2 visits to Sunday school, which was the beginning and the end of my religious upbringing.

Religious beliefs aside, I canhonestly say that I was awe struck when I arrived the first time. The biggest inspiration came through St. Peter's Basilica. As a teenager, I can not express', wonder wonder and perfection of the great human statues and art is absolutely beautiful with the use of stunning colors. Skies colors that seemed so perfect as I could only dream of using. Where is the talent come from? Apparently, the art of Michelangelo, his place in history along with the torments he no doubtsubject to achieving a work so great. What a gift to the world.

I was also very much the idea, captured the Fountain of Trevi. My father told me the tradition of throwing a coin into the fountain. Anyone who throws a coin into the fountain is guaranteed to return to Rome. I threw my money happy and could not wait to return. Several decades passed before I actually Hokum pokum return to Rome, where I started to believe it was all a load.

There arePlaces to visit Rome for many others (for example, the Sistine Chapel, the Parthenon, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, the ancient ruins, etc.), but I wanted to have the two places which are particularly inspired.

I would warn a grizzled man in his forties late from a haircut, for example, in Rome, when my father was present experience. When he returned from his visit to be one of the hair from the barber was jet black - mix in some language I suppose. My friend and I spent the rest of our 2week vacation in Rome laugh uncontrollably. To the disappointment of my father.

Travel in Italy for the Elderly

It is no surprise that Italy is a major tourist destination in the world, with wonderful views, as the ancient cities, classical art, picturesque villages, majestic landscapes, and more widespread throughout the country. It 'also a great place for seniors to remain in particular, customized with a wide selection of great historical visits, wine tastings, education and language packages and cruises on offer to overseas visitors.

Seniors enjoy a respected status> Italy. Culturally, they are considered as contributing not old, but wise and have a long experience and good for society. This translates to all sorts of great respect for senior citizens benefits such as discounts at restaurants and all sorts of local places, you wonder where you are. But in terms of discounts totaling known attractions, we've heard of being offered in some cases, that the elderly do not travel discounts to non-EU citizens, but be sure to ask.

Avoid the queues.each summer was like Rome or Florence can say, as the top places of artistic interest Europe is not a trivial matter in high season. Visitors from around the world snake around the block, and block sometimes, to see to see so many masterpieces. We talk for hours. If you see these small works of great standing without the sun all day, come to Italy in mid-March and May or September and October when the crowds are big.Another great way to avoid long waits at the Vatican Museums is primarily on the last Sunday of the month to come, when entry is free and the line moves much faster! Alternatively pre-book tickets. This is a great way for the conflict and a terrible thing that I personally avoid all before my trip.

for heat. Prepare Italy is one of the hottest parts of Europe in the summer - in the capital, for example, temperatures often exceed 30 ° CJuly and August. For a comfortable journey can be April to June or in September and October when temperatures in the range of 18-25C. The October or "beautiful October days", are particularly at Rome as a great time to be a known. If you want to come in high season, bring water and sunscreen and a hat worn during the midday sun. It 's easy, dehydrated, if you come to visit so many fascinating places! I also noticed that some of the shopsCenters are not equipped with air conditioning, you can also find in France. Thus, even in extreme heat, it is an escape in the shops is not an option.

Take your time. without the scorching sun and crowds of the summer to see all the sights of Italy may also be a challenging task for all. In fact, many people are entered only after visiting some of the most important historic sites of Rome as the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Many of the country's rural and coastal tourismLocations can also be difficult or inaccessible to anyone with mobility problems. The best way around this is to make it easier for you to prioritize which sites were most interested in trying not to pack too many activities in one day. If you are really interested in visiting the famous historical sites and museums, is my advice to a lot of time to do this and try to do too much to allow in one day.

Support for the coffee. There is much more expensive if you take a table in aCoffee break for coffee and sandwiches. You see the locals standing at the bar, because it is cheaper. However, I personally under a table in a local meeting place in the framework of tourist attraction - watch the locals and relax your feet. But if you're on a budget, have a coffee.

Savor the taste. Sure, Italy is another top attraction is its excellent cuisine. The home of pasta, pizza and ice cream has a deserved reputation for its delicious traditional dishesDo - is to make your business, try all three! The food Trastevere neighborhood in Rome is a good start. You can find great deals around the world for food, especially if you are willing to explore the side streets a bit 'and have the tourist track. A cost saving tip is to create a menu to take usually around midday on the right. Covering a range of courses and almost certainly with a glass of wine. To eat the main meal during the day, around lunchtime, as the Italians. YouYou can walk in the afternoon. For lovers of Italian cuisine, there is plenty to do cooking classes. You can choose from half-day courses to choose two weeks of immersion experiences.

Enjoy the wine country. For wine lovers from all over the world, Italy is a feast for the taste buds. Popular varieties such as Chianti, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Pinot Grigio all come from here, and dozens of others that we know and love during your stay. Visitors will be spoiled for choice when it comes toTour the vineyards, which are all around the country. If you are not staying in one of the wine regions, again, you can make day trips by some of the most important destinations such as Florence Chianti. There are options to Rome, Milan and Naples too.
