In fact, there are books in the library of the Vatican, that each plant has the catalog of this important collection, and when and where they are issued.

E 'was Pope Julius II in 1506Vatican began the gathering of great art with the purchase of the sculpture Laocoon and his sons battle as a powerful sea creatures. From there, the Vatican collection has dozens of galleries and museums, and become literally thousands of works of art.

One of the many museums in the Vatican art community is the Etruscan Museum, which was founded in 1837. Despite the earlier to us, this collection is one of the youngest in the family and the Vatican has many oldWorks, the surrounding areas have been excavated and the southern and Rome has to be on. The Art of Etruria is similar to that of ancient mosaics and Tombs of the historic Egypt, which were collected at the height of the Roman Empire.

Another wonderful collection of the Tapestry Gallery, which consists of tapestries from the fifteenth century onwards the seventeenth century. The first time these tissues were put on display was in 1814 and their artis so exquisite, that any major museums around the world have welcomed their collections.

The diversity of the Vatican Museums to continue in the Gallery of Maps. painted directly onto the gallery walls are 40 panels depicting the regions of the world as a map. These cards are both very artistic and charming, too. It 's interesting to note that this type of GPS instruments on site, and other modern toys we were using, and they were the only means, the researchers found that venturedItaly is many of the countries of the new world.

Le Stanze di Raffaello are not to be missed if you plan some time to be shown around the Vatican museums. There are four rooms, all linked together, which were built 1447-1455. He needs to guess, not so much to know what is in the Vatican Gallery. But it is definitely worth a visit to see great art from some of the great masters of history, including Van Dyck, Perugino, Poussin and Giotto.

How language is used, may give the wrong impression of what you see in the Gregorian Museum of Art, because you can not desecrate the dirty pictures here. As part of this as one of the Vatican Museums, "profane art" simply means that the subjectWork of art is not sacred in nature. This interesting collection was opened in 1970 to showcase sculptures from the Roman Republic and Empire, as coffins and things like that.

Three years after the opening of the Gregorian centuries-old art museum, opened the Carriage Pavilion. The building is under the Square Garden, and is used for cars that have over the centuries for the Pope and other senior Vatican officials to drive displaypart of the many cars you can visit the General Conditions of Carriage Pavilion, you can also find pictures of objects such as parades or periods when the popes were in processions, and used the harness for horses and other items that support maintenance and documentation of these vehicles.

But there is no doubt that the culmination of a visit to the Vatican Museums, the time spent in the famous Sistine Chapel, to take great masterpieceMichelangelo painted the ceiling of the chapel. How do you see the above you will know this is a time to remember life is. But do not miss Michelangelo's Last Judgement, is back and added the chapel 20 years later.

Nothing will be able to replace the impression that they stared at the ceiling brings. There you will witness nine panels to represent the biblical characters including Noah, an unknown number of male nude, and Sibyl are the culmination ofPiece of God touching Adam's finger picks and give it life. The famous writer Goethe summed up the feeling you get when you see the picture as he said, see:

"Without having seen the Sistine Chapel, a form appreciable idea of what a man can achieve."

Goethe's words could easily be applied to hundreds of other works of art from hundreds of master artists whose work is on display in many buildings of the Vatican Museums.
